Sad day (not why you think)

Hi everyone! Ernie here again. Mom has been a little sad today since she got home from work. It doesn't have anything to do with yesterday. Although she is a RePUGlican and is disappointed (but not surprised) at the election results, she heard some other news that made her sad. There's this human at Mom's work whose 16 year old brother was in a bad car accident last Wednesday. Well, he died this morning. I can't imagine what I would do if my humans died. It makes me sad thinking about it. But the worst part is that he was so young. He was younger than me in pug years. Then Mom heard that one of her favorite authors, Michael Crichton, died too. He wrote something about some dinosaurs. Mom hasn't let me watch that movie yet, but Jasmine told me it's pretty scary.

And Dad came home early from work because he doesn't feel good. He has been in bed ever since he got home :-( I hope he feels better soon because I feel like playing.

I'm gonna go now so I can work on making Mom happier and maybe some slobbery kisses will make Dad feel better.
Bark at ya later,
Ernie

Oh Ernie, that is a lot of sad news! I'm so sorry! I hope it reminds your mommy & daddy of how fortunate they are to have eachother and all of you sweet puggies. Life is certainly short.

Give your pawrents a few extra licks, maybe you will get an extra treat!

We are very sorry about the sad news. When young people die it seems like such a waste.
Mom wants you to know that even though she is a democrat, she thought John McCain's concession speech was great, and if he had talked like that on the campaign, it would have been a lot different. Mom is very proud of the way he told his supporters that he intended to serve his president and he wanted them to as well.
