Ernie talks politics...sort of...

Yo! What up dogz? This here is Big Ern! Ok, I'm not really that tough. I may look like a tough pug, but I'm actually quite sensitive and thoughtful...
Today was kind of a strange day. Mom got up even earlier than usual without even staying in bed and cuddling with me (and the other pugz) for a little bit after the radio turns on. Then she left. And Dad left soon after that and he took Sam with him. Dad doesn't usually leave until after Sam gets on the bus. But this morning he left way before the bus got there. It was even still dark when Dad left! They said something about doing their civic dooty. Sometimes I have to get up early to do my dooty, but I do it quickly and get back in bed! I'm not sure what civic means. Maybe it has something to do with all those crazy signs in people's yards. We have one too...it's green and says something about Mitch. I don't know who he is, but he never gave me any treats! Why would you put a sign in your dooty yard for someone who never gave you treats? This doesn't make sense to me. Mom gives me treats all the time. I would put a big sign for her right in the middle of my dooty yard, but Eli would pee on it.
I would put a sign for Bernice in my dooty yard too because she keeps my ears and face clean. She's not very bright, but she IS my sister, so I would definitely put up a sign for her.
I was pretty sleepy this morning when Mom and Dad were leaving, but I did hear something that made them laugh. Mom said she was going to wear red today, so Dad said he would too. He picked up one of his t-shirts and laughed. He held it up to show Mom and she laughed too. I think it said "Is this the beer line?" I know Dad likes beer. Maybe he was in a hurry to get some. Or maybe he thought it was funny because it was so early in the morning. Or maybe he was going to have to wait in a line to do his dooty. Hmmm. I'll have to ask him about it when he gets home.
Well, that's all I know about today. I'll let you know if I find out anything about this civic dooty.

Mom rolled out of bed way to early yesterday morning as well. And then she left Lucky and me way to early. The good news, is that she sat on the sofa after she came back from class and I got in lots of good snuggles.
