Crazy Saturday!

OMD...Mommy has totally lost her mind!!! She got an e-mail from the pug rescue yesterday about some pugs that need foster homes. One was rescued by Animal Control after he was found chained in a yard with a cardboard box for shelter. Keep in mind that it's been really cold in this area. Who would leave a pug chained outside in any weather? He was reported to be very skinny and needing to be fattened up. So what does Mommy do? She called Daddy and they talked about it and agreed to foster this guy! Are the 5 of us not enough??? What is going on here???

So Mommy got in touch with Sophie, Dixie, and Harley's Mom, Kelly, and Salinger's Mom, Laura. Kelly and Laura said they would go with Mommy to pick him up today. So they go and here is what they got...

He got to ride on Kelly's lap in the car and he seemed to enjoy looking out the window...
Then he put his un-neutered rear end up in Kelly's face! How disgusting!!!
We totally couldn't believe it when they walked in the door...
While he was on Mommy's lap, we made sure she didn't forget about the rest of us!
Ernie was making sure he knew who was the boss...so to speak...
Laura posed with Pippin...
...then with me, Jasmine...
Ok, he's pretty pathetic...look how skinny he is...
I guess we can keep him around for a little bit until he gains some weight and gets cute enough for someone to want to adopt him...
Since he didn't have a name, Mommy came up with Eddie. He is already answering to that name!
We'll keep you up to date on his status and keep posting pictures so you can see him get fat!
Pug hugs and kisses!

HI EDDIE! Please thank your mommy for inviting me to come along to meet you for the first time! I am sure that your new brothers and sisters are helping you get used to your new house and I'm sure your tummy feels better with some yummy food in it now!

You are such a dollbaby and I KNOW you won't have any problem finding your forever home!

Love,
Laura (Salinger's Mom)

awwww - that is so great that he is in a safe, loving foster home!! We are jealous that your mommy gets to foster - we have begged and begged to let a foster in our house, but the big man just doesn't think we have the space/time/resources. Maybe one day! Until then, thank God for people like your mom.

Hi Eddie! I bet you are so thankful to have a warm house, pug bros and siss and food. Your foster mom sure is a great person. We hope to maybe see you at a pug meetup.

Hi Eddie
I know you must be so relieved when you hear someone with a big heart was coming to get you! I can just imagaine the look on your face looking at them drive up. I know you were a brave boy to also open up your heart to this new family. I know you have a lot to talk about- and I know you must feel so safe with a full tummy and nice warm bed and of course- love!

Poor Eddie. He is probably in shock from having enough food to eat and a warm place to be. We are glad your mom is helping him out by fostering, and that you all are welcoming him into your home.

The more the merrier when it comes to pugs! He is so lucky to have you. I know he will bloom in your care. This makes me want another pug so bad, but can't at the moment. I love pug everything! Looks like it is time for group pug hug!! God bless you!

What a doll. As long as I will live, I will never understand some people. Eddie's life truely has just started over.
