Hello friends! Ernie here with the much anticipated update on our foster buddy, Eddie. As Mommy told you on Friday, Eddie had his first vet appointment on Saturday morning. Well, everything was good except for some worms. He has hookworms and whipworms. They're the same little nasty buggers that Eli had when he was rescued. And Bernice had whipworms when we were first fostered. Very easy to treat! The doctor told Mommy and Daddy that, judging by Eddie's shiny white teeth, Eddie is no more than a year old! Mommy thought he was still a puppy. He has all his adult teeth, but they are so clean and white. And he acts like a puppy. Then Mommy made THE appointment for poor Eddie...the dreaded "fixing". He gets to go in on Friday for the "snip, snip".One of the puppy behaviors that Eddie exhibits is stealing things and running around like crazy. Here he is running with one of Daddy's socks and I am chasing him trying to recover it for Daddy. I should add that this was a CLEAN sock! What's up with that? Everypug knows that socks are no good unless they smell like our humans' feet!
Here are Eli and Pippin trying to figure out what that awful smell is that keeps coming out of Eddie's behind...
Aha! Caught in the act...Grand Theft Sock!
As you can see, Eddie has gained enough weight so far that his ribs no longer protrude...
He is really quite a happy little bloke!
Yesterday, Mommy took Eli and Eddie to Petco for their KPR service. There they met up with Sophie and her Mommy, Kelly. Although they did not collect many donations, they did meet several people who expressed interest in adopting our fellow pugs who are homeless. They all took some information and said they would look up the KPR website. Here is Sophie posing with her Mommy...
Eddie, as usual, was too excited to stand still for Mommy to take a good picture of him, but Eli was cooperative enough...
We are quite proud of the progress that young Edward is making. And we are sure that he will find a good, loving forever home in no time!
OMG! I can't believe the difference in Eddie in just over a week!!!! He looks great and it sounds like once those WORMS clear up (ew!) he'll be in good shape!
What a wonderful job you are doing with Eddie. He looks so much better and once those worms are whipped he'll be great. With your training, hopefully he will find a wonderful, loving furever home.
Oh wow Eddie looks awesome! He really reminds me alot like Gus when we got him. And Gus does that same racing around with something hanging out of his mouth too (and yes clean socks have been victims!)
We're the Smith Pug Posse! There are 12 (yes, that's right, 12!) of us living with our 3 humans. And we all sleep in our king size bed with our human mommy and daddy. We get along with each other pretty well, but sometimes we get upset with each other, usually because someone is jealous of the attention someone else is getting!
