Adventure Part 2 - The Party

So Mama is a bit of a dork and took way too many pictures at Vinny's birthday pawty on Sunday.  We were going to post the pics yesterday as a Wordless Wednesday, but it took too long to upload them and the post didn't get done.  So here is our Thursday post with the first half of the pawty pics.  Enjoy!!!

The Adventure, Part 1 - The Trip

Hi everyone!  Big Ern here!  You will not believe the weekend I had!  It started on Friday with Mama running around getting things packed and getting me all ready to go for a long ride.  Check out the awesome new sweater and collar she bought for me!

Then Aunt Jess showed up at our house when she was done with work.  We loaded our stuff in her car and drove to her house where she packed up Princess Mia.  Then we drove all the way to Columbus, OH.  We stopped at a restaurant called the Claddagh.  It's an Irish pub that allows dogs on the patio.  We sat right outside the window from where an Irish band was playing!

Mama and Aunt Jess thought this king statue was funny so they insisted on posing in front of it with us.

After dinner we drove to the hotel where we spent the night.  In the morning I helped Mama pack and was ready to go!

 Mia was also excited to find out where we were going!

Can we please go already?

Not far from the hotel was this restaurant.  We thought it sounded like a neat place.  We guessed it was a restaurant started by military veterans!

One more stop before leaving Columbus...Dunkin' Donuts!  We were surprised that this one included a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop, but it was a little too early for ice cream.

It's not chocolate, but it sounded interesting...French Toast ice cream!

We drove all day on Saturday through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.  When we got to Pennsylvania, the corn fields disappeared and were replaced by vineyards!  Lots and lots of vineyards!

We had to stop for a potty break and saw this horrible thing.  Can you see the deer horns on the back of that truck?  Someone killed Bambi!!!!!  The horror!!!

Well, we finally got to our destination...Webster, NY.  We went to the home of Aunt Punchy!  We spent the night there and then on Sunday we all got dressed up for a pawty!  I had my necktie.

Mia had her dress that Aunt Nancy sent her.

Oh look, it's the birthday boy!!!  Does anyone recognize this KPR pug?  It's Vinny!!!  He used to be called Napoleon, but his new mama Linda renamed him.

Did someone say adventure?

Oh my pug!!! Mama told me that tomorrow we are going on a road trip!!! Just me and Mama and Aunt Jess and Mia!!! I don't know where we're going, but I know it's going to be awesome!!!

I can't wait to share my adventure with you!!!

For Lilo

We wanted to do something to honor the memory of our god friend Lilo who went to the Bridge last week. She was an honorary member of the Posse and we miss her terribly, so we made Mama come up with a treat for the bakery, Pugs In The Kitchen. It is made with peanut butter, oatmeal, carob chips, and some other stuff. We are calling it the Tales of the Great Rockeater cookie! And yes, we all approve :-)

It is with great sadness...

Tonight the world is a little less bright. Honorary Posse member, Lilo, has gone to the Bridge. We are so sad that she is gone, but we have comfort in the fact that she is now breathing freely, running and playing with such a wonderful group of beloved pugs that were already there. Run free, little Lilo, we love you and we miss you, but we will never forget you <3 <3 <3
Please feel free to post some kind words on Lilo's blog to comfort her momma.

Report to the Mother Ship

Agent Timmy's mission log. Earth date: 06-10-2011.

It has been almost a year since my colleague and I arrived on Earth. We have been accepted into our home as planned. The plan started with a snag however, when the family chose to take only Agent Bella. I was able to convince the temporary housing authority that I needed to be stationed with Bella and the mission has been running smoothly ever since.

We were able to pick up on Agent Bernice's work that was interrupted due to her sudden recall to the Mother Ship. Bernice did an excellent job paving the way for our arrival. The humans clearly worship us and will not be difficult to conquer when the time comes. I have developed a fondness for this human family as they have welcomed me into their home and provide me with everything that I require. The female human even makes special food for us, she calls them "treats". I must say I have never tasted anything quite like it.

As you can see we have become quite comfortable in our new surroundings.
There are others like us in the home. Only one I recognized from the home world. He is called Ernie and he arrived with Bernice. He has become very protective of the humans, especially the female. He is also very protective of the others like us.
As for the others, you can see that this one that they call "Eddie" is without a doubt from our home world. He does not remember arriving here and believes that he is of this world. I will continue to analyze his brain functions to determine what happened.
There is one among us who is not from our world, yet she is clearly not from Earth. They call her "Rosie". She is a long-haired cyclopsian creature. She is very receptive to the humans, but she can be a little mean to us Pugosians. She will require continued monitoring to make sure her kind is not planning a takeover of their own.
We will continue to interact with others like us. There are monthly gatherings called "meetups" that we will attend. We have been able to contact others in the meetups and have confirmed that the mission is on schedule.
I will attempt to gain access to the humans' internet communicating device again soon to report on any new findings.
