Here's Madie. She's a bit bigger than a pug, but Eddie sure enjoyed playing with her.
Bernice found a bone and claimed it as her own...
And Jasmine found a rope and claimed it as her own...
Pippin found the couch and claimed it as his own...
Here is Bernice posing with Lilo's daddy, Ryan...
And Lilo posed with her mommy, Jessica...
Well, we were pretty tired after that roadtrip up to Noblesville. Even after a good night's sleep, we were still pooped. And some of the Posse found the sun as it peeked through the windows...
So we're trying to relax on that Sunday when Mommy harnesses up me, Gus, and Eddie and took us to Petco for KPR duty. Daddy went too (Mommy wouldn't have been able to take 3 of us by herself!). Although we did get a lot of attention, we didn't get any money :-(
Daddy played with Eddie right by the entrance to try to draw attention to how playful pugs can be...
And Gus was, well, Gus...
Boy were we tired by Sunday night! Just look at Eddie and Bernice fast asleep on Mommy's lap!
The rest of us were snuggled close by...there's just not enough room on Mommy's lap for 7 pugs!
Gus was POOPED!!!
Mommy and Daddy seemed to be getting ready for something the following weekend, so we made sure to get plenty of rest...
Of course we woke up just enough to watch some hockey...
When Saturday finally arrived, it was very hot outside! Daddy got 2 of these little pug-sized pools and put them in the backyard. Gus was obsessed with getting in the water. Of course, he kept taking his squeaky hot dog and hamburger in the pools with him and he would splash around trying to get to them (Mommy says those toys are like crack to Gus)!
Then we heard something in the sky...there were these 2 old planes that kept flying in circles. Mommy said something about a flyover for the Indy 500, but the race wasn't until the next day. There must have been something going on that the planes were flying around...
There was a lot of commotion all day on Saturday as Mommy and Daddy got ready for something. They even made Sam do some work mowing the lawn and pulling some weeds! Naturally, we slept...
Of course our good buddy Lilo came over...
Gus kept playing with his plastic food. He suckered a few people in to playing fetch with him...
Then Salinger showed up and modelled his new swim trunks! (They really looked like chaps from the back)...
Our human cousins Tabitha and Max helped us run the fence with Baron...
We also got to meet Lola, Pugsley's foster (soon to be adopted, *wink* *wink*) sister. She is adorable!!!
Lilo took a dip in the pool...
Aunt Laura (Salinger's mom) passed out carrots to us pugs...
Here's Lola showing off her white spot (she also has 1 white paw)...
So here we thought we could sleep in on Sunday, but Mommy got up and made breakfast for all of Daddy's family! Then Grandpa got everyone together and said he's going to marry Dee! We were a little surprised because he hasn't known her all that long, but we're glad he found someone who makes him happy.
After that big news, everyone packed up and headed off to the zoo. Well, everyone except the pugs! They keep telling us pugs aren't allowed at the zoo. The nerve of those zoo people!!!
Here is our Sam posing in front of the aquarium with his cousins Claire, Tabitha, and Max...
Now, they say pugs aren't allowed to go to the zoo, but Mommy said a lot of the animals were acting like pugs. Like these Alaskan brown bear cubs...do you see any pug resemblance? Is it because they're being lazy???
Cousins Max and Claire got their faces painted...
Mommy said this rhino was being pug-like too, although I really don't see what she means here...
This is the exhibit that Mommy was most looking forward to...the Komodo Dragons! It just opened up this past weekend...
Mommy said that this one walked right up to that branch and rested its chin on it, just like a pug would...
Here's Daddy visiting with his dad and Dee...
Needless to say, we were extremely exhausted yesterday! We woke up to thunderstorms and Mommy and Daddy decided to stay in bed. They didn't have to go to work at all yesterday! So no one did anything all day except relax and snuggle and nap. What an ideal pug day!
Happy belated Memorial Day to everyone! Let's not forget those who have served this great country protecting our freedoms! And for us pugs, that means freedom to snuggle!
Pug hugs and kisses!
