Happy birthday Mommy!

Hello blogger buddies! Big Ern here. Sorry we haven't been around much lately. Mommy has been a little stressed lately. Last week they had some people at work called Auditors. They have to deal with these people every year, but they had to get auditors from a new company this year, so it was like starting from scratch. I seriously don't know what's wrong with that because I love scratches! Mommy's probably just being silly.

And today is Mommy's birthday. To celebrate we had some friends over on Saturday. There were the 7 of us in the Posse and 5 more pugs came to the party! I don't know who wouldn't have had a good time with a dozen pugs in the house! Salinger brought his paw-rents, Laura and Kevin. I know some of you know about Laura, but in case you don't, it must be said...she is an excellent cook! She made this cake for Mommy that all the humans loved. We couldn't have any because it was chocolate, but Laura also made some homemade pug biscuits for us! They were delicious!!! Here's Mommy posing with Laura... Laura had to give Gus-Gus some love. He was meeting the friends for the first time! Notice LaserPug Eddie on the pink chair ;-)
Sophie, Dixie, and Harley also came with their paw-rents, Kelly and Brian. I think Kelly really liked Gus too...
I don't know why, but Salinger kept getting this weird look on his face. He seemed a little unsure about being in a party crowd so he stayed on his Mommy's lap most of the time...
Laura and Kelly tried to loosen him up with a cocktail weenie...
Lilo brought her paw-rents, Jessica and Ryan. Lilo hasn't been able to get her Mommy to start a blog for her yet, but we're working on her ;-) Bernice used Jessica's lap to try to get to the food on the table...
Mommy and Daddy's friends Russ and Theresa also came to the party. They don't have any pugs, but they have a Gigi. She wasn't too sure what to think of all the pugs, so she kept trying to seek higher ground, like on Daddy's lap...
Here's Mommy and Theresa and Kevin having a good time...
Dixie and Bernice were both using Jessica's lap to try to get to the food while I stood guard...
Watch out Murphy-dog...I think Dixie-Bugg is giving me the eye ;-)
Salinger got a little bit brave...
...but ended up on Ryan's lap...
I am such a good party host...
Kevin was enjoying the food...
Laura and Kelly were comparing Bernice and Sophie...they really look a lot alike...
Laura sure was enjoying Pippin. That's me behind them with Lilo (in the red harness)...
Daddy gave some love to Dixie...
...and to Sophie...
Salinger found his Mommy's lap again...
And so did Pippin....
No wonder Salinger was so uptight...his Mommy kept giving all her attention to Pippin!
Sophie got a little out of control towards the end of the evening when she started chugging wine (don't worry folks, the bottle was really empty!)...
Here is that cake that Laura made for Mommy. She calls it "Are you freaking kidding me chocolate cake". Mommy said it was the best cake ever!!!
Make a wish Mommy!
Dixie really wanted what the humans were eating!
Aw, Sophie was helping her Mommy play Apples to Apples...
The last thing we want to share is a video from the evening. Unfortunately, no one was able to film the pug stampede. We all went outside and when they let us in we all came in at full speed! Good thing no one got in our way! But this video is a pretty good demonstration of the chaos created by 12 pugs in one house!

Take care everyone and Happy birthday to Mommy!!!!!

Working with the Snuggle Puggle

We let Eddie do most of the hard work this week. Here he is playing with a squeaky toy. Notice the moment when it squeaks and it startles him :-)

Weird bug Friday

Hello Blogger Buddies! Sorry we missed last Friday's Animal Friday post...I'm sure you all missed it terribly ;-) To make up for the miss, I found my pictures of the weirdest creature I think I have seen. We have a bay window in the back of our house that looks from our family room out into the backyard. So we planted some butterly bushes outside the window a few years ago. One day I was looking outside when the bushes were in bloom and I saw this thing buzzing around the flowers that looked like a hummingbird but a little smaller. When we looked a little closer we could see that the "beak" was actually bent and pointed down into the flowers like a bendy straw. Ok, hummingbirds can't bend their beaks. Weird. Thank goodness for the internet! We found out that this is a bug that is called a Hummingbird Moth. It is a freak of nature! Enjoy my pix!

Working with the Snuggle Puggle

We're working really hard for Eduardo today. Instead of boring old pictures, we decided to post a video showing just how hard we really work. We're exhausted just watching this!

We got an award!!!

Yay! We got an award from Roxy! We're so excited! Thank you so much for this honor! We are so humbled by your kindness!

So here are the rules! List 6 things that make you happy. Pass the award on to 6 bloggers for being Kreativ. Link to the blogger who gave you the award. Link to the blogs receiving the award. Notify the recipients.

Ok, what are 6 things that make us happy?
1. Having a warm, safe place to live that includes a giant soft bed with fluffy pillows and a big fluffy comforter.
2. Having a big backyard to run and play and go potty in. And because it has a fence around it, we can go out and run around all we want!
3. Mommy's lap. When she sits on the couch or on the bed, we get to snuggle with her!
4. Giving kisses. Our people just love when we give them kisses! Making them happy makes us happy!
5. Going to Meetup every month! It's so much fun to get to socialize with other pugs! And our people seem to really like socializing with other pug people!
6. Being part of the Posse. We will never be alone and we will always have each other to snuggle with!

All right, now we're going to tag of our blogger buddies:
Sophie, Dixie and Harley: Their blog always makes us smile and since they live here we get to see them at Meetups and our pawrents really like their pawrents!
Salinger: S-dog is pretty cool and his Mommy is one of the most creative people we know! They live here too and S-dog's Mommy brought a bunch of homemade Valentines pupcakes! Yum!!!
Brutus: Brutus and his Mommy also live here so we got to see them at Meetup yesterday! Brutus is another KPR rescue pug and he is so cute!
Pearl: We love reading Pearl's blog. She is such a sweet little pug!
Coco: Coco and his Mommy have such wonderful adventures to share!
Eduardo: Eduardo is a puggle and has started his own company which specializes in snuggling. He hired us to snuggle every Tuesday!

Ok, now that we've taken care of the award, we'd like to introduce Gus:
Gus was in a shelter here in Indy after being found wandering around the streets. He had to be out of the shelter by last Tuesday (we don't know why), so another KPR volunteer picked him up and took care of his vet visit (including the dreadful "fixing"). On Wednesday, Mommy got him to stay with us for a while because there was no other place for him to stay. He's kind of old and doesn't do much, but he's a pretty nice pug.
He's making himself right at home here...
Eddie sure didn't have any problems making himself at home!
Yes, now there are 7 pugs in Mommy and Daddy's bed!
Well, that's all for now. We have a bunch of pictures from yesterday's muddy Meetup, but Mommy doesn't feel like posting them right now.

Pippin's Ode to Sophie

Hey Blogger Buddies! Big Ern here. Sorry we've been MIA for a few days, but Mommy slipped and fell on the ice in our driveway a couple of days ago and she hasn't been able to sit at the computer long enough to blog for us. She totally missed her Animal Friday yesterday, so you'll all have to wait until next Friday to see what she comes up with.

As most of you know, our boy Pippin has a thing for Sophie (of Pugs and Bugg). Well, he's been working very hard on writing a poem for her. Please be kind, his poetry skills are not very good. He's just not that great with words....
I think that I will never be
As handsome as you'd like me to be
But I can tell you Sophie, dear
My feelings for you are sincere I wish I could say just how I feel
Tell you that my love is real
You are such a dainty flower
I dream about you every hour
You are as pretty as can be
Even when you squat to pee
When I see you at the park
My tail will wag and I will bark Oh Sophie girl, you are so sweet
I think about you when I eat
I wish that I could call you mine
Sophie, will you be my Valentine?
All right, Pip, that was just....embarassing! I hope she doesn't laugh her tail off when she sees you at the next Meetup! Speaking of, that next Meetup is this afternoon! Mommy wants to take Eddie so everyone can see how great he looks after being here only 3 weeks! The weather is warmer today and all the snow is starting to melt. I don't know why, but Mommy keeps saying we're going to need baths after Meetup. I don't know what kind of sick joke that is, Mommy, but it's just wrong!
Well, we'll let you know how bad Pippin tanks with Sophie at Meetup today!
Pug hugs and kisses!

Working with the Snuggle Puggle

Happy Tuesday everyone! We're working hard again today! We're definitely working harder than those weather people on TV. They said we would have a quick round of snow this morning starting at the beginning of the morning commute and we would just get a dusting, maybe up to 1 1/2 inches. Well, Mommy had a really rough drive in this morning. It was snowing so hard that we had about 4 inches by the time she went to lunch. She took this picture of the pond at her work... She said the roads were all covered with snow and kind of slippery...
She also said it snowed the entire day at her work. She works on the east side of the city and we live on the northwest side. The interstate was still covered with snow on her way home...until she got through downtown (which is in the middle of the city), then the roads were clear and so was the sky! Look at the clouds on the east side...
She took this picture when she was almost home. She was surprised to see a snow plow on the side of town that did NOT get snow ALL day when she didn't see any on her whole trip before this...
She also wanted to share this picture. A Mexican family lives in this house in the neighborhood and they made this snowman. She loves the sombrero on it's head!!!
Now here's the funny picture...Sam made this "snowman" (yes, that's what he called it) in our backyard. Mommy calls it the ADHD snowman!!! BOL!!!
We had to work really hard to find potty spots when we finally got to go outside...
Eddie was having fun running around...
Yes, that is Eddie looking like a psycho pug. Can you believe how good he looks now?
I, the Moose, was having fun in the new snow too...
Jasmine, however, did not enjoy it very much...
Poor Jasmine got snow all over her pretty fur...
The real work starts inside. We wanted to share some pathetic pix of Eddie. Poor Ed had to work the sympathy for all it was worth after his "snip-snip" Notice how he's sitting on his hip instead of his butt...
Mommy had tried to give him a treat, but it just stuck under his lip and he just sat there milking the sympathy...
Ah, here's the snuggling work. Jasmine is an old pro at it...
Pippin, aka Puddin' Pie, loves snuggling...
Eddie is more of a stretcher than a snuggler, but he's good at it...
Eli loves snuggling up with Mommy and he can't wait to get into bed tonight so he can do just that!
I obviously worked too hard running around in the snow, so now I have to snuggle...
Bernice just loves snuggling with the corner of the couch!
Doesn't this face make you want to snuggle with her?
Enough blogging for today. We need to make Mommy get off the computer so we can snuggle with her on the couch. Hope everyone is staying warm today!
Pug hugs and kisses!
