Wow...what a sad week it has been. We lost 3 prominent icons of my youth. I grew up in the 70's which is when these people gained their fame. Earlier this week we lost Ed McMahon who I watched as Johnny Carson's sidekick on The Tonight Show. Then this morning, Farrah Fawcett passed away after a nasty battle with cancer. I knew this was iminent from the news I had been hearing. Although she was not my favorite angel, I loved watching Charlie's Angels when I was a kid. My best friend and her sister and I would play Charlie's Angels and act out our own adventures.
Then this evening we heard Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack and he wasn't breathing nor did he have a pulse when the EMT's arrived at his house. He was finally pronounced dead at 6:15 Eastern time. Who doesn't remember being a kid dancing around to his music? He was a strange person, but an incredibly talented individual.I feel like part of my youth has been ripped away today...a bitter reminder of getting older. I wish I had something incredibly poignant to say, but all I can say is rest in peace.
Apollo's Mommy here: I AM SO SAD TOO! I LOVED MICHAEL JACKSON! If there would have been time, I would have gotten a military outfit and a white sequined(sp) glove to wear today! Meanwhile Apollo and I are at my office, and I'm playing all of my Michael Jackson mp3's on my computer. We're both listening with mournful eyes. I'll take a picture of his sad face to share later.
We're the Smith Pug Posse! There are 12 (yes, that's right, 12!) of us living with our 3 humans. And we all sleep in our king size bed with our human mommy and daddy. We get along with each other pretty well, but sometimes we get upset with each other, usually because someone is jealous of the attention someone else is getting!

RIP MICHAEL - HEE EE!
Odd as he had become, the world lost three great talents this week. They all contributed in their own unique way! May they peace in their new home.
